Getting Started

                                                 "FIRESIDE CHAT"

Ever wonder what you are to write when you start a new blog. What ever inspiration you were feeling at the though seems to have slipped from your grasp.

Most of us write what is on our heart and the daily lives we live. Maybe it is our way of reaching out. Of late I have noticed so often the way we as a society have forgotten how to interact with each other. The world seems to have gotten so impersonal with little or no contact with the person beside you.

I would say we have become the "I Society" in many ways. To justify this I would ask you to take a look around yourself. iPods, iPhones, iPads... we are all plugged into them in one way or another. Each person off in their own world of they're choosing. We have taken the English language to a new level of communicating with abbreviations. We have even changed the word "We" by adding two "I's" to it.

Blogging has become a place to deposit our thoughts, maybe to an unseeing world at times but we create a record of our thoughts in hopes of reaching out to someone. You see I love to talk to people, I love to hear their stories . There is such a wealth of wisdom and knowledge when personal trust has been established. It is a blessing to sit and listen, compare experiences. It is something we have forgotten how to do as we are all so plugged in.

I like to think of two or more who are gathered around a fire, chatting about life and sharing stories which touch others. Maybe that is what this blog will become. Let say we will call it "The Fireside Chat" a safe place where you can share what is on you mind. I welcome your comments.
